In the Timeline you have the option to display the utilization of the project resources. You can switch to this view by selecting the Utilization button.
The work packages are automatically grouped according to assigned resources. The resource is considered overloaded if the effort per working day is greater than eight hours, the respective column is marked in red. This information is defined in the task entry screen.
You can see at a glance what the utilization of the project resources is like. The bars in the utilization view are displayed in different colors:
- green = daily utilization of the resource <= eight hours
- red = daily utilization of the resource > eight hours
If tasks are intended for several resources, all details are displayed in duplicate, but grouped by resource.
The time utilization is divided by the number of project resources involved.
This means that a work package with an expenditure of eight hours on one day for two project participants corresponds to an expenditure of four hours per resource.
If the effort is spread over several days, a constant distribution is made, since the working time of eight hours per day must not be exceeded.
This means that an effort of 48 hours distributed over eight days means an effort of four hours per day for two persons involved.
When you move a work package that is intended for multiple resources, all corresponding tasks are moved the same.
