Scheduling in smenso offers a flexible and detailed way to manage project timelines. It provides both tabular and visual representations of dates to accommodate different user preferences.

Navigation and overview:

• Users can easily switch between the overall overview and specific modules such as scheduling without having to return to the main overview.
• The schedule overview can be opened by clicking the respective menu items.

Schedule views:

1. Tabular planning:
   • This view displays all dates in a clear table, organized by service phases.
   • Dates can be marked as milestones to highlight important project sections.
   • Start and due dates of the service phases are listed in detail.
      
2. Gantt chart:
   • This view displays dates visually as bars, as in a traditional schedule.
   • Users can adjust the length and position of the bars to reflect changes to the timeline.
   • Tasks already completed are checked off to make progress visible.

Features and specifics:

• Validity status: A dedicated column shows the validity status of dates. Changes are immediately visible by showing or hiding a green indicator.
• Multi-selection: Users can select and edit multiple dates at once. This facilitates bulk editing and consistent data entry.
• Duplicate and adjust: Schedules can be duplicated to create alternative scenarios. This is useful for conducting “what-if” analyses to evaluate the impact of timeline changes.
• Delays and dependencies: Delays can be added as new dates and linked to existing ones. A wizard helps resolve overlaps by pushing affected dates back and asking the user for confirmation.
• Variants: It is possible to create different variants of a schedule and control their validity. This enables parallel planning of different scenarios without affecting the main plan.

Interactive adjustments:

• Dates can be moved and adjusted directly in the Gantt view to quickly and easily visualize and implement changes.
• New dates can be added at any time and flexibly integrated into the existing plan.

Cost and fund allocation:

• The impact of schedule changes on the allocation of funds can be analyzed. This is especially important for budget planning and control across different years and cost groups.

In fund allocation, we ensure that costs are distributed across the different phases of a project. 

smenso offers a variety of options for fund allocation, enabling the needs of each project to be tailored individually. We focus on valid variants to ensure optimal use of available resources.

By distributing costs by percentage across the different service phases and cost groups, we can create a detailed breakdown of funds. This precise allocation makes it possible to accurately track the project’s progress and identify potential bottlenecks at an early stage.

In addition, we offer the ability to optimize fund allocation at both the project and portfolio level. By integrating various data sources and using state-of-the-art analytics tools, we can make informed decisions and ensure long-term planning certainty.

In addition to allocating funds across the cost groups according to DIN 276, smenso also offers distribution of total costs across the dates, or as another variant, to distribute completely manually as absolute values per year.
