With labels, you can mark and categorize tasks and identify them more quickly in different views. In the label configuration, you can edit a label’s name, protect its settings from changes, copy its technical identifier, or permanently delete the label.
Open the label configuration
- Open the context menu of the desired label.
- Select
Configure. - The label configuration dialog then opens.
Edit a label
You can change the label’s name in the Title field.
- Open the configuration of the desired label.
- Edit the entry in the
Titlefield. - Click
Saveto apply the change.
The new name is then used everywhere the label is displayed.
Lock editing of the settings
The Lock editing of settings option protects a label’s configuration from unwanted changes.
- Open the label configuration.
- Enable
Lock editing of settings. - Click
Save.
Afterwards, the settings can only be edited by the person who activated the lock and by members with the Admin role.
Note
The lock only applies to the label’s configuration. The label can still be assigned to tasks or removed from tasks.
Copy a label’s GUID
Each label has a unique technical identification number, the GUID. This may be required, for example, for technical configurations, formulas, or interfaces.
- Open the label configuration.
- In the Advanced section, click
Copy GUID.
The GUID is copied directly to the clipboard and can then be pasted wherever needed.
Permanently delete a label
A label can be permanently deleted via its configuration dialog.
- Open the configuration of the desired label.
- Click
Delete permanentlyin the bottom left. - Confirm the deletion.
Notes
- Permanently deleting a label cannot be undone. Therefore, check beforehand whether the label is still used in tasks.
- Changes to the title or lock are only applied when you click
Save. - Click
Cancelto close the dialog without applying your unsaved changes.
