With Resource Planning & Workload, you can keep track of your teamβs available capacity and assign tasks to people in a targeted way. This view helps you identify overloads early and implement your planning in a stable manner.
Assigning people with availability checks
When assigning people, you can immediately see whether someone still has sufficient capacity or is already heavily overplanned. The status is displayed using a traffic light logic. In addition, you can view capacity details to make quick and well-informed decisions.
- Traffic light status shows at a glance whether the person is available.
- Capacity details support your decision-making (e.g. planned time, available capacity after assignment, workload forecast).
- Context: The display takes both team workload and overall workload into account.
Capacity directly in person selection dialogs
Workload information is also available in person selection dialogs β you do not need to stay in the workload view. This allows you to check directly on the task whether the selected person still has capacity and to avoid overloads.
Lock task moving
In the workload view, you can lock the moving of tasks to fix your planning. This is especially helpful to prevent unintended changes β for example, when multiple people are working on the planning at the same time or when the planning has already been aligned.
Space optimization and compact mode
The workload view is designed for clarity β even with large teams. In addition, there is a compact mode that reduces the height of the view and allows more content to be visible on the screen at the same time.
Practical tips
- Quick check before assigning: Use the traffic light status and capacity details to avoid overloads early.
- Keep planning stable: Lock rescheduling as soon as a plan is finalized.
- More overview: Enable compact mode if you want to review many resources or longer time periods in parallel.
