For project service providers it is important to manage existing projects including the resources involved and to have an overview of the status. It is also important to have potential new projects "on the radar" and to check possible effects on e.g. capacity planning. For a better overview, it makes sense to categorize the projects according to products and services.
The following structure can be used this way or in a modified form for project service providers:
Project folder (no renaming required)
- Opportunities (sales opportunities)
- Project ideas
- Internal projects
- Customer projects
Sales phase / product (renamed field "Project type")
- 25% - lead / idea
- 50% - Lead qualified
- 75% - offer phase
- 99% - as good as certain
- Product 1
- Product 2
- Product n
- Internal
Note:
In one of the next releases, individual labels will be available, so that products can be mapped via labels and the field project type will only map the sales phases. In this case, after the 99% stage only "Deal won" or "Project" would appear as the sales phase.
Customer (renamed field 'Location')
- Customer 1
- Customer 2
- Customer n
By changing these fields you will be able to structure projects by sales phases (grouping by "sales phase / product") or by customers (grouping by "customer").
