Organizational projects are often used to improve internal processes. Projects can go through regular process steps from the idea to the closing of a project. If necessary, there are sub-projects that further subdivide these projects.
The following structure can be applied to organizational projects in this way or in a modified form:
Project phase (renamed field "Project folder"):
- Project idea
- Rough planning
- Detailed planning
- Implementation
- Closing
Project type (no renaming required)
This structure item can be used to group the individual projects into portfolios. The following structure is an example:
- Portfolio 1
- Portfolio 2
- Main / Subproject 1
- Main / Subproject 2
- etc.
Note:
The ability to duplicate projects (see article duplicate a project) allows a project to be divided into several (sub-)projects without having to create the tasks again. With the Portfolio Timeline all sub-projects or portfolios can be displayed in one view in a timeline.
By using private projects (see article Private Projects) you are able to grant access only to certain people, in case of "confidential" projects.
Client / Department / Area (Renamed field "Location")
- Client / Department / Area 1
- Client / Department / Area 2
- Client / department / area n
By changing these fields, you will be able to control and manage organizational projects.
