⚙️Edit hourly rates

In smenso, hourly rates can be set both as a flat rate at project level and individually for each person. This allows costs to be calculated and tracked precisely.

Setting an hourly rate for a project

A flat hourly rate for the entire project can be defined in the project settings.

1. Open Manage project > Settings
2. Scroll to the Hourly rate section
3. Enter the desired hourly rate
4. Optional: Enable Use individual hourly rates instead if the individual hourly rates of team members should be used instead of the project rate

Editing hourly rates for people

Individual hourly rates for a person are managed in the workspace settings under Members.

1. Open Workspace settings > Members
2. Select the person and open their detail view
3. Scroll to the Hourly rate section
4. Click Edit and set the new hourly rate

If the hourly rate changes over time, multiple rates with a validity period can be stored. This keeps the history of changes traceable.

Difference between project and person hourly rate

When the option Use individual hourly rates instead is enabled, the individual hourly rates of team members take precedence over the project hourly rate.
