Keep an overview of all ideas and requirements

With the project idea, ideas can be recorded in the company in a simple, central and structured way so that no more ideas are lost. Clearly arranged displays and filters allow you to keep track of "your" ideas and to see if an idea turns into a real project.

Create project idea

There are different possibilities to map project ideas in smenso Cloud.

• Create a project in the "Idea" folder
• Create a project and map the project ideas via labels and flavors.
• About general release workflow via flavor

It depends on how elaborate you want the idea process to be. Take a look at the different possibilities below:

Via release workflow

As already shown in the project lifecycle, you can use a "Workflow: Release" flavor to have the idea released. In combination with the label "Idea" you can filter all ideas in the portfolio at any time and monitor the approval workflow. Have a look at the article.

The idea becomes a project

If the idea is moved to the next folder (e.g. planning), the idea becomes a "real" project.

If the project was mapped via labels, the label is removed again and it is now a project. If the idea was created as a flavor, the status is set to "released" and remains the same. Alternatively, the flavor can be deleted again.

No status is lost by the project feed and the course of the project or the idea remains for later. In this way, it is always possible to determine whether a project originated from an idea (by whom and when) or not.

Project "Ideapool"

Alternatively via a separate project "Idea Pool" in combination with a form, e.g. MS Forms.
