The Gantt view can be printed directly for sharing or exporting your schedule. For printing, the display is automatically focused on the actual timeline.
The selected time period and the current expand/collapse state of the Gantt structure are taken into account.
Print the Gantt view
First, open the desired project and switch to the Gantt area. Then start the print function of the Gantt view.
Before printing, you can review the output and define the desired time period.
Display when printing
When printing, the focus is placed on the graphical schedule. The task list on the left-hand side is hidden in the print output.
This provides more space for the actual Gantt display with tasks, phases, dates, and dependencies.
Note
The tabular task list on the left is not part of the Gantt print output. Only the graphical area of the schedule is printed.
Set the time period for printing
By default, the time period for the print output is determined automatically based on the existing schedule.
The suggested time period ranges from the earliest start date to the latest end or due date of the displayed planning elements.
This initially includes the entire schedule in the print area.
If needed, you can adjust the time period for the print output, for example if you only want to print a specific section of the project.
Tip
Limit the time period if you only want to share a specific project phase or a particular section of the schedule. This allows the relevant area to be displayed larger and more clearly in the print output.
Consider the expand/collapse state
The current expand/collapse state of your Gantt structure is taken into account in the print output.
Areas that you expanded before printing are displayed together with the tasks they contain. Collapsed areas remain summarized accordingly.
This allows you to define how detailed the schedule should be before printing.
Note
Before printing, check which areas in the Gantt are expanded or collapsed. The current state affects the level of detail in the print output.
