Folder Properties
With this update, we've added unique properties for the folder level in projects. Now you can use folders not only as structural elements but also assign additional details to them:
- Responsibilities: Assign one or more responsible persons to a folder.
- Set Priority: Give your folders a priority to highlight their importance independently of the tasks contained within.
- Start and Due Dates: Set start and due dates for each folder.
- Description Field: Add a detailed description to clarify the content and purpose of the folder for all stakeholders.
If at least one of these fields is filled out, an information icon ('i') will appear beside the folder title, indicating additional properties. You can find this icon in all views, whether it's list view, Gantt view, or board view.
Editing these fields is easy: Go to the folder properties, which you can find in the context menu of each folder.
We will gradually expand the function and make the folder properties available in other contexts. Coming soon!
Please note
Folder properties can be maintained entirely independently of the tasks contained in the folder and serve as additional optional categorization/description of a folder, as well as assigning responsibilities to entire folders.
The only exception is when entering date fields in folder properties, discrepancies with the dates of the contained tasks are noted. However, saving is not prevented.
π Improvements
- Drag & Drop Sorting of Subtasks in List View (Project): Changing the order of subtasks within a task is now possible by dragging and dropping directly in list view. The order remains consistent in task details and list views.
- Extended Task-to-Subtask Conversion:
- Added a new option to the context menus in task lists to perform conversions directly from the list view:
- When selecting multiple tasks (or subtasks), batch conversions to subtasks (or tasks) can be performed via the snackbar:
- Convert Tasks => Subtasks via Drag & Drop in List View: In the list view, individual tasks can be converted to subtasks via drag and drop.
[Converting subtasks into tasks via drag and drop is currently not supported.]
- Added a new option to the context menus in task lists to perform conversions directly from the list view:
- Multi-Factor Authentication Available in All Plans π For all user accounts using email address and password. More information on how it works can be found here: Learn more βοΈ.
- Navigation Menu Improvements:
- In the navigation menu (Favorites / Recently Opened Tasks), abbreviated project titles are now displayed in full length in tooltips when hovered over.
- Menu state (collapsed / expanded) is now saved per user and remains persistent when reopening.
π Bug Fixes
- Fixed: In some notification emails, task statuses were not translated when English language was selected. Improvements have been made to display the statuses of custom workflows correctly as well.
Custom workflow status is displayed first, followed by the system status in parentheses: - Fixed: Corrected a display issue that could occur in the board view when grouping by status (workflow) was selected. The view was not loaded correctly.
- Fixed: Template projects can now be marked as favorites.
- Fixed: Corrected an issue where flavors that were first set/filled in a list view for a task were not displayed in task details. They are now displayed in task details, and if there is no flavor group yet , it will be created.
