🌟 New Features

(1) Define Team Leads

With this new feature, team leads can now be defined within team management. This not only helps to reflect organizational structures but also grants special permissions to team leads.

• One or more people can be designated as team leads, e.g., for delegation scenarios.
• If team leads have at least the "Member" role, they gain access to the special "Team Utilization" tab within workload/resource planning. This permission allows team leads to view the workload of their team members.

Coming soon: Team leads will also be able to view and manage time entries and absences of their team members.

(2) Workload (across all projects) with its own menu item & more features

New Menu Item

The workload view across all projects now has its own menu item in the sidebar! Resource workload management will now be more prominently displayed in the sidebar. We have also worked extensively on the underlying system of the workload view to make it more performant and apply pre-filters depending on who is viewing it.

Depending on permissions, several tabs are now displayed in the workload menu:

• My Workload: Displays only the user's own workload.
• Team Workload: If the user is defined as a team lead in the workspace settings, this tab appears and shows the workload of their team.
• Total Workload: Users with "HR" permission can see this tab and view the workloads of all individuals in the workspace.

Along with these changes, performance optimizations have been made, which are particularly noticeable for users without HR permissions.

Analysis Sidebar

This feature provides insights into key metrics regarding resource utilization and task distribution efficiency, supported by detailed workload graphs and planned vs. actual comparisons.

Show Sums Row

The overall totals line is used to calculate various vertical totals figures (by day/week). The totals row can be shown via the action bar > Options > Show sidebar.

These totals can also be exported in Excel format (Action bar > Options > Show sidebar > Export sums data.

🌟 Improvements

• Flavor Type "Status" with Customizable Colors: To represent project statuses in a more differentiated way, it has recently become possible to define custom "status lights." With this release, individual status values can also be assigned custom colors: Simply click on the colored dots and choose a color.
  
  
  
  
• Expanded Team Export: The new field for team leadership is now available as a column in team exports.
• Optimized Workload Summary Row: The summary row has received several optimizations, e.g., it now updates automatically without a refresh when enabling or disabling options.
• Expanded Filters in Time Evaluations: The filter now offers more options. Search fields for Flavors and people have been added within the filter, and various Flavor values can be selected. Additionally, the listed people are now sorted alphabetically. 
  
  

  Note

  In the coming release, this filter will be replaced with a completely redesigned version that offers significantly more options.

🐛 Fixes

• The bulk processing toolbar temporarily shifted too far up - now back in its rightful place 😉
• Time entries could not be modified in the time evaluations list view for large amounts of data. This issue has been fixed. Additionally, a lock icon now appears next to the task title if an entry cannot be edited, along with an explanation (e.g., if time tracking is locked for the task or if the time entry itself is locked). 
• In time evaluations, the filter for Today and Yesterday was not applied correctly - fixed.
• For new members logging into a workspace for the first time, an issue in the Start menu caused selected views (instead of widgets) to make the two smenso Basics widgets non-removable. Widgets in the Start area now behave correctly in all cases. 
• Drag & Drop of tasks from one folder to another did not work correctly - now fixed.
