The Portfolio Timeline provides a cross-project timeline view in the Projects area. It displays multiple projects on a shared timeline and helps you quickly identify time overlaps, durations, and distributions.
This gives you a compact overview of your portfolio without having to open projects one by one.
Open the Portfolio Timeline
The Portfolio Timeline is located in the Projects area.
- Open the
Projectsarea. - Click
Timelineat the top.
The cross-project timeline view will then open.
Benefits of the Portfolio Timeline
The Portfolio Timeline is particularly suitable for identifying time-related relationships across the entire project portfolio. You can quickly see which projects run in parallel, which entries cluster in time, and in which phases especially many activities take place.
This view supports cross-project planning, alignment, and prioritization across the portfolio.
Note
Depending on the selected filters, projects, sorting, views, and zoom levels, the display of the Portfolio Timeline changes accordingly. You can find more information on how to use the individual functions in the article Using the Portfolio Timeline.
