The activity stream documents important changes and events within a task. This allows you to see at any time who made a change, when it was made, and which task information was affected.
Entries are created automatically whenever a task is edited. These include, for example, changes to dates, priorities, costs, or labels, as well as added comments.
Open the activity stream
- Open the desired task.
- Switch to the
Activitiestab in the task details.
The events documented for the task so far are then displayed.
Structure of the activity stream
Each entry shows the most important information about an event:
- Person who performed the action
The profile picture shows who made the change or created the entry. - Time
The time at which the event occurred is displayed above the entry. - Type of change
The text describes which property of the task was edited. - Previous and new value
For relevant changes, both the previous and the new value are displayed, for example when a priority is changed or a date is moved.
The most recent entries are displayed at the top of the activity stream.
Which changes are documented?
The following events may appear in the activity stream, among others:
- a label was added or changed,
- the task’s priority was adjusted,
- cost values were entered or changed,
- the start date or due date was moved,
- a comment was added,
- a file was uploaded,
- other task properties were edited.
Which entries are displayed depends on the changes made to the respective task.
Notes
- Entries in the activity stream are generated automatically. You do not need to document the changes manually.
- For changes to fields, the previous and new values may be displayed. This makes it easier to trace date changes or priority changes, for example.
- The activity stream always refers to the currently open task.
