Once the desired project phases/processes have been created, you can record the corresponding tasks.
Click the + button under the respective phase or the + button at the bottom right of the workspace, and select New Task.
Creating a Task in the List View
Hover your mouse over the area in the task list where you want to add a new task. Click on the “Create Task” icon (usually shown as a plus sign or a similar icon) next to the folder name or in the task list.
The following data can be assigned to the task via the entry form:
- Task Name: Enter the title of the task.
- Resources*: Assign or remove team members.
- Show Labels: Option to add or display labels for the task. More info can be found here.
- Show Flavors: Option to display or add custom fields (Flavors). More info can be found here.
- Status: Select the current status of the task (e.g. Not started, In progress).
- Folder: Choose the folder where the task will be stored.
- Priority: Set the task’s priority (e.g. High, Medium, Low).
- Start Date: Specify the task’s start date.
- Due Date: Define a deadline for the task.
- Plan Effort**: Enter the planned effort in hours. Checking the box automatically calculates effort (8 hours per workday, excluding weekends).
- Plan Costs: Automatic calculation of planned costs based on the planned effort.
- Actual Effort: The actual work effort recorded for the task.
- Actual Costs: Actual costs based on the recorded actual effort.
- Forecast Effort: An estimate of the remaining effort for the task.
- Description: Option to provide a detailed description of the task. Info on text formatting can be found here.
- Subtasks: Option to create subtasks. Details can be found here.
- Add Files: Upload and attach files to the task.
- Comments: Add and manage comments for the task.
- Activities: Overview of changes and updates to the task.
- Time Tracking: Documentation of the working hours spent.
After you enter the relevant data for the task, you can save it by clicking outside the entry form. The entry form will automatically close, and the data will be saved.
