In addition to the board view, you can also view a project's tasks in a list view and edit tasks directly in it.
Edit a Task Directly in the List
You can edit a task directly in the list. Set the status, start or due date of a task. Change the task name, set the priority, add another task or subtask, specify costs and effort, and assign the appropriate resources for the task without opening the task dialog.
Edit a Task Directly in the Task
Hover over the task you want to edit and click the open icon to open the task details. You can now edit the task as usual, add files and comments, or create subtasks.
Add a Task via the List
Hover your mouse over the area in the task list where you want to add a new task. Click on the “Create Task” icon (usually represented by a plus sign or a similar icon) next to the folder name or in the task list.
Search for Tasks in the List
Search the list for tasks. To do this, enter the task name or parts of the name in the search field. All tasks matching the input will be displayed.
To display the entire list again and reset the search, remove the keyword from the search field.
Column Definition
Decide which columns you want to display in the list. To do this, click the dropdown icon at the top right of any column. A menu with options will open, allowing you to add additional columns or adjust existing ones.
You can change the column width individually by dragging the column header to the desired size.
Freeze columns while scrolling
In the list view, you can freeze columns so that they remain visible while scrolling horizontally. This is especially useful to keep key information such as the task title or status in view at all times.
To do this, open the column’s context menu via the dropdown icon in the column header and select the option Freeze column. The frozen column will then remain on the left while you scroll through additional columns.
Frozen columns are visually separated from the rest of the table and can be unfrozen at any time using the same menu.
Filter, Sort, Group
The familiar options for filtering, sorting, and grouping also apply to the list, allowing you to customize the display.
Filter button in the column context menu
In addition, you can set a filter for the respective column directly from the column context menu. Open a column’s context menu and choose Filter or Add filter. This takes you straight to the relevant filter dialog, where you can filter specifically for values in this column.
Multi-level Sorting in Lists
In lists, sorting can now be defined with multiple levels as desired. The sort settings are also saved in views.
Usage: Shift + Click on Sort in a column, or alternatively, you’ll now find a Sorting heading in the column options menu with the option + Add column.
You can also change the sorting order later:
