Management of main and sub-projects

One of the most frequently asked questions is how to use projects and subprojects in smenso Cloud.

The most frequently used method to use this is the following:

• Create a "main project" and assign the main project manager. The main tasks of the overall project are mapped in it.
• Assign the flavor "Portfolio" to the main project and create an entry for the main project
• Create additional sub-projects and assign them the flavor "Portfolio" with the entry of the main project.
• Name the project in the project description: [Subproject] Subproject name

This type of mapping has the advantage that you can also authorize each subproject individually.

To view the projects as a whole, switch to the Portfolio Timeline and apply the filter to the flavor "Portfolio > Main Project". This will give you an overall view of the planning of the main project and all subprojects. The same procedure applies to the task view of the portfolio (Projects > Tasks).
