A status report template can be used in several ways: You can apply it to a status report that is already in progress, create a new status report directly from a template, or set a template as the default template for an entire project. To learn how to create, edit, or delete status report templates, see the article Managing Status Report Templates.
Applying a template to a status report
- Open a status report that is still a draft (or save a new report as a draft).
- Open the three-dot menu (
...) and selectManage templates. - Select
Browse templates. - Click
Use templateto apply the template directly - or click a template row to see more details about the template.
Caution
Applying a template overwrites the Description and Next steps fields with the template's content. Any text already entered there is lost.
Creating a status report directly from a template
You can also start a new status report directly with a template, without first creating a draft:
- In the status area, click
Newin the top right. - Select
Browse templatesand choose the desired template.
This lets You create a pre-structured report especially quickly, without having to open an empty draft first.
Setting a default template for a project
In the project settings, You can select a default template for new status reports. This is automatically applied to every newly created status report in the project, so each new report already has the predefined structure from the start.
- Open the project settings.
- Under Default template for new status reports, select the desired template.
In individual status reports, You can select a different template at any time or adjust the content.
Note
The default template only applies to newly created status reports. Existing reports remain unaffected.
