OneDrive/SharePoint: Link files
If you want to connect files from OneDrive/SharePoint, you can link them (instead of uploading a copy). The file remains in Microsoft 365 and is shown in smenso as a link/attachment.
Information
For details see the article Attach files from OneDrive/SharePoint.
Permissions & visibility
- You only see files if you have access to the respective project or the original context.
- Deleting and managing is usually only possible with the appropriate write or admin permissions.
- For OneDrive/SharePoint links, Microsoft permissions also apply.
Troubleshooting
File is not visible
Check your project access and, if applicable, the permissions of the original context. Alternatively, search for the file via the global search and use filters.
Upload fails / file too large
The maximum file size is 500 MB. Also check your internet connection.
OneDrive/SharePoint file won't open
Check the Microsoft sharing permissions. When connecting for the first time, a popup blocker may also block the sign-in window – allow popups for smenso in your browser.
