You can upload files directly in the project or add them in the Files tab of a project. All files created in the project context (including from tasks and status reports) are available in one place in the Files tab.
Tip
If you want to quickly find a file again, use the global search (including file search + filters).

OneDrive/SharePoint: link files
If you want to connect files from OneDrive/SharePoint, you can link them (instead of uploading a copy). The file remains in Microsoft 365 and is shown in smenso as a link/attachment.
Information
You can find details in the article Attach files from OneDrive/SharePoint.
Permissions & visibility
- You only see files if you have access to the respective project or the original context.
- Deleting/managing is usually only possible with the appropriate write/admin permissions.
- For OneDrive/SharePoint links, the Microsoft permissions also apply.
Troubleshooting
I can’t see a file:
Check project access and, if applicable, permissions of the original context. Alternatively, search for the file via the global search and use filters.
Upload doesn’t work / file too large:
The maximum file size is 500 MB.
OneDrive/SharePoint file can’t be opened:
Check Microsoft sharing settings and your pop-up blocker when connecting for the first time.
