β¨ New Features
More Permissions: Private Tasks
We are enhancing the privacy and permission options in our software - from now on you can mark tasks as private to protect them from unauthorized views:
Extended Permissions: Private tasks are only visible to persons who explicitly have the permission. For all other users, these tasks are completely invisible. Authorized persons can also be determined whether they have read-only access, or full access.
Comprehensive Privacy: When a main task is marked as private, it applies to all the contents of the task and all subtasks of any level.
Private means Private: The "Private" label truly means private β even admins do not have access to private tasks.
This feature extends the previous permission options, which allowed only the writing rights to be restricted. Now you can completely hide tasks, ensuring an even higher degree of privacy in the project.
More Depth for Your Projects: Nested Subtasks
We are expanding the structuring possibilities for projects! With this update, we introduce additional hierarchical levels for subtasks, allowing you to organize tasks in even more detail.
Nested Subtasks: In addition to the main task and the first level of subtasks, you can now add up to five more levels. This means you can use a total of seven levels for detailed task structuring.
Flexibility at Every Level: Each subtask in these levels can be treated as a standalone, full-fledged task. This gives you the freedom to design each level according to your specific project requirements.
This feature is ideal for more complex projects that require detailed planning. It helps you gain even finer control over project sections and processes.
Archived Projects (already there, but now better)
Archiving projects is now not only more efficient but also more user-friendly.
Improved Accessibility: Archived projects are now no longer accessible through the normal filter function but can be directly accessed via the 3-dot menu in the portfolio. This change makes it much quicker to find and open archived projects.
The New Archive: We have optimized the way projects are archived to create a clearer separation between active and archived projects. Once a project is archived, it is in a truly archived state β it cannot be edited, and only the core data are still viewable and modifiable. This measure protects the integrity of the project information during the archiving phase.
Restoration Anytime: Archived projects can be restored at any time to provide full access to all project information and data.
These features were developed to improve the management of projects in different life cycles and to ensure that users can quickly and efficiently access the necessary information.
Note
Similarly, project templates are now also directly accessible via the 3-dot menu in the portfolio.
New API Endpoints for Improved Integrations
We have expanded our API with new endpoints for tasks and projects that enable significantly improved integrations. A crucial advantage is the generic and autonomous use of our "Flavors", the custom fields, by our customers.
Flavors are always individual in each customer's workspace. Nevertheless, Flavors can now be addressed via the API, either by their GUID (a unique ID in a special format) or by the name of the Flavor.
Finding the GUID of a Flavor is easy. As an administrator, you only need to open the flavor configuration (open a task or a project, click on a flavor name, in the context menu choose Configure, here you can copy the GUID of the Flavor to the clipboard).
These extensions offer you more flexibility in automating and integrating our platform into your systems and workflows.

More Performance: Faster and More Efficient π
In recent months, we have worked intensively on optimizing our software and implemented numerous measures to significantly improve performance in many areas. To name just a few:
Faster Loading of the Portfolio View: The portfolio view, both in list and board formats, now loads much faster. This will be particularly noticeable with a large number of projects.
Accelerated Task Boards: Working in board views in the project has been sped up multiple times, making the work much smoother and more pleasant.
Redesign of Permission Assignment: The way we manage and assign permissions in projects and tasks has been completely overhauled. Occasionally, newly assigned tasks or privately set projects, etc., were not immediately visible/available, or links could not be opened immediately, that is a thing of the past.
With this update, we deliver another batch of performance work on our core, but you can look forward to even more soon.
π Improvements
- Filtering by Flavors of the "Relation" type: It is now also possible to filter by relations. One limitation to note: If results are to be filtered by multiple relation values, multiple individual filters by relations must be combined
- Filtering by meta information fields "Created On" and "Updated On": Both meta-information fields can now be filtered with various date operators.
- Expanded Filter Options for Flavors of the "Text"/"Text (formatted)" Type: Two additional options "contains" and "does not contain" are now available.
-
Mark Columns with Individual Status: In list views, columns can also be marked with colors as before. What is new now, is marking columns with a status. A status can only be used as a marker in one column exclusively. While color markings can be used multiple times in columns.
- Set Portfolio View as "Standard for All": Views are usually "private" and can be shared with others. With this function, a person with the owner role can set a specific portfolio view as "Standard for All".
This means:- The view is automatically shared with everyone in the workspace (= appears in the view dialog).
- For all persons who have not yet set their own standard view, this view is automatically set as the standard.
- Only persons with the "Owner" role can make this setting.
- To undo this setting, the view can either no longer be shared or be completely deleted.
This possibility is intended to facilitate the entry for new members/guests and ensure a consistent user experience for all members.
Use with caution
This button sets the view with one click for all. The action can only be undone as described above.
- Open Status Reports Directly from Portfolio List: From all available status columns in the portfolio list (e.g., overall status, cost status, ...) the latest status report can be opened by hovering over the cell and clicking on the appearing symbol.
- Create & Rename Project Folders in Portfolio List: Project folders can now be directly renamed in the list view of the portfolio (similar to folders in the project), and new project folders can be created.
- Export Times in JSON Format: The generated API link for exporting times can now also be in JSON format.
π Fixes
- In project templates, tasks with restricted writing rights (write permissions restricted) were not displayed for all roles except admins when creating a project from this template. Locked tasks are now included for all roles when creating from a project template.
- In Flavors of the 'Text' type, which naturally use the plain text format, bullet points were erroneously displayed, which were then deleted, for example, during export. The inconsistency has been resolved.
- The issue that projects in the board view sometimes could not be moved, has been resolved.
- Persons to whom the owner role was newly assigned in the Admin Center, did not see functions released for owners in the user interface - now fixed.
- An issue where an "infinite loading circle" was displayed in the list view in rare cases, no longer occurs.
- In list views, click indicators were missing from multiple selection and relation flavor cells - now added.
- Display deleted tasks in Flavors of the "Relation" type: When tasks linked in a Relation flavor are deleted in the meantime, the relation itself is not deleted. Therefore, a deleted task is now displayed as "Unknown", allowing obsolete relations to be manually deleted.
Your Feedback is Important to Us!
We are constantly working to make our platform better, more user-friendly, and more performant. Your feedback is our compass and we would be very happy to hear what you think! Thank you in advance π
