The start area is a personal space where you can place widgets for various topics, such as favorite projects or tasks due soon.

You can find the start area as the first item in the menu on the sidebar:

Initially, the start area always looks like this: You will find two widgets that provide you with various tips and basic guidance for using smenso:

To further customize the view, follow these steps:

1. Click on the "Customize widgets" button or, alternatively, click "Customize" in the top-right corner.
2. In the menu that opens, you will find both the currently displayed widgets and additional pre-configured widgets.
   
   
   
   
3. Select one of the additional widgets.
4. Once you have added another widget, the arrangement of widgets in your visible area will change. The layout will now follow a tile structure where you can freely place different widgets.
   
   
   
   
5. Once you have added additional widgets, you can also deselect the two smenso Basics widgets so that they no longer appear.
6. Save the view to ensure your changes are not lost.

Additionally, these widgets can be customized individually. You can determine their position and size yourself – this feature applies to the entire workspace, wherever widgets are available.
