Versioning of the description field in tasks

Description

In smenso, every change made to a task's description field is stored as a version. This way, you can always revert to earlier states and even display the differences between versions.

Open description versions

To access the different versions of a description, click on the Version history () button in the task's detail view. A dialog will then open, listing all previous versions of the description field.

• Each version includes the respective modification date and the name of the person who made the change.
• You can navigate through the individual versions to display the respective state of the description.

Show differences between versions

In the dialog, you can optionally enable Show differences to make changes compared to the previous version visible. Changes are highlighted so you can quickly see what was added or removed.

• Highlighted text segments: Show changes or deleted passages.
• Compare multiple states: You can switch between versions as you wish to see different editing stages.
