In views in smenso, you can control how formulas are calculated. You can disable automatic formula calculation or have formulas calculated in the background.
Disable formula calculation
By default, formulas are calculated automatically. If needed, you can disable formula calculation for a view.
- In the desired view, open the menu via the three dots.
- Disable the
Formula calculationoption. - The formula fields in this view are no longer recalculated automatically.
- Instead, the most recently calculated values are displayed. These are shown in italics and marked with
*.
You can reactivate automatic formula calculation at any time by enabling the Formula calculation option again.
Calculate formulas in the background
For views with many formula calculations, you can enable Background calculation. The formulas are then calculated in the background and the values are updated after the calculation. This can improve the loading performance of the view.
- In the desired view, open the menu via the three dots.
- Enable the
Background calculationoption. - Then save the view so that the setting is retained for this view.
