The Status area is the central place for project health. Here you can see at a glance how the project is doing right now, how the status has developed over time, and what was captured in previous status reports.
For general information on widgets (e.g. show/hide, arrange, save) see the article Widgets: Overview, Customization & Locations.
Widgets in Project Status
Current Status
- Shows: The current or most recently published status report as an overview.
- Good for: How is the project doing right now? This widget is the fastest entry point into the current project situation.
-
Details: The three-dot menu offers the following options:
- Hide
- Delete
- Comment
- Request update – prompts the project owner to create a new status report
- Post status
- Copy status – creates a new status report based on the current one
Note
Only the creator of the status report or an admin can delete a status report. Deletion is permanent.
Tip
Use Request update when a status report is overdue – the project owner will automatically receive a notification.
Task Status
- Shows: The task situation from a status perspective – e.g. how many tasks are green, yellow, or red.
- Good for: Why did the project status change? This widget helps explain status changes through the underlying task development.
Tip
Click on a status in the pie chart to instantly display the affected tasks in a filtered view. One click takes you from the overview into the details.
Project Progress
- Shows: The progress level of tasks, costs, and effort.
- Good for: Does the progress match the status? If the status is green but progress is low, it's worth taking a closer look.
Tip
Hover over the individual sections to see the exact percentages for tasks, costs, and effort.
Past Status Reports
- Shows: A chronological list of all previous status reports.
- Good for: What was reported when? Have assessments changed over time? This widget makes the status history transparent – e.g. for reviews, audits, or when you're taking over a project.
Tip
Click on a past status report to open it in full. This lets you review earlier assessments and evaluations in detail.
Status History
- Shows: The development of the overall status over time as a visual trend line.
- Good for: Is a red status a one-time outlier – or part of a downward trend? The status history helps you identify patterns and distinguish between short-term fluctuations and real problems.
Tip
Hover over individual data points to see additional details about the respective status report (e.g. date and author).
List
The status area also includes the list widget. It displays content in a tabular list format and is especially useful when you prefer scanning and comparing status-related data rather than using charts.
For full details on the list widget (configuration, tips, details) see the section The List Widget in the overview article.
