Status reports reflect the project status.
In order to create a new status report, the project manager must select the + symbol in the lower right corner of the work area and then select New status report.
The following information can be included in the status report:
- Name of the status report
- overall status
- Status Dates
- Status Costs
- Status Goals
- degree of progress
- Status Explanations
- Description of the next steps
- Upload files
- Save as draft
- Publish
The status report can be saved as a draft, so the status report can be edited at another time. To do this, click Save as draft,
By clicking the Publish button, the status report is saved and published.
The report is visible to project members after publication.
In the Past Status Reports widget, these are clearly listed. If required, desired status reports can be opened to access more detailed information. It is not possible to edit past status reports afterwards.
Based on the status reports, the trend of the overall status is displayed in the Trend curve overall status widget. This allows you to quickly see how the project is progressing.
smenso Cloud offers the possibility to specify files in individual status reports. To do this, the file must be uploaded to the entry screen of the status report. A subsequent upload is not possible. To add a file to the report, it must already be saved as a draft. Then you can create the files as follows:
Files are added to the system via the task entry screen. You can do this in different ways:
Select the + icon in the entry screen under the Files area. The Windows Explorer will open and you can select the desired file and upload it via "open".
2. Select Browse (highlighted in blue) in the entry screen under the Files area. The Windows Explorer will open and you can select the desired file and upload it via "open".
3. use the drag-&-drop function to drag files into the entry mask. It does not matter where you drag the file. The complete entry mask recognizes that it is a file that you would like to add.
Please note that option 2 can only be selected once. If a file has already been added, the search is no longer possible. If you want to add several files, you should select option 1 or 3. Alternatively, you can add several files at the same time.
It is possible to drag and drop emails and their attachments from Outlook into the task dialog.
Furthermore, an authorized user can request an update to the current status. To do this, click Request Update in the Current Status widget. An email with the corresponding information will be sent automatically.
Each status report can be commented by the authorized user. In the Past Status Reports widget, select the desired report. The status report entry screen opens. Enter your desired text under Enter comment here and then click on Send.
