- Click the 🔔 bell icon in the top right
- Select
Start watchingto add yourself as a watcher - Optionally add other people as watchers
Added watchers will immediately start receiving notifications about changes to the project or task.
To stop watching, click the bell icon again and select Stop watching.
Tip
When creating a new project, you can add yourself as a watcher directly in the last step of the project creation wizard.
Note
Project leads do not receive automatic notifications about project changes by default. They must actively watch the project to receive notifications.
Participants vs. watchers in tasks
In the context of tasks, there is an important distinction between participants and watchers:
Note
- People who have been added as participants are not automatically added as watchers.
-
People who have been added as participants but are not set as watchers will only receive notifications in the following cases:
- When they are added or removed as participants
- When the task is deleted
- For comments on the task
They will not receive notifications about changes to fields in the task. To stay informed about those, they need to add themselves as watchers.
- People who have been added as participants and are also set as watchers will receive notifications in the Direct tab when changes are made by others.
- People who are not added as participants but are set as watchers will receive notifications in the Watching tab.
Notifications panel
In the notification dialog (🔔 icon in the top right of the app), two tabs are available:
- Direct: Notifications from tasks in which you are a participant
- Watching: Notifications from objects you are watching
