Description
Changes in working hours must be recorded historically. Working hours are stored with a validity period, similar to hourly rates.
Function
When new working hours are recorded because an employment contract has changed, these hours must have a new start date. The previous working hours remain intact and are stored historically. This way, they still apply to existing tasks and the calculation of availability in the past.
Recording Working Hours
In the member master data or in the Workspace Settings, you can enter new working hours with a specific start date.
Working Hours History
Historical working hours remain intact and can continue to be used for task calculations and availabilities.
Example
A person had a weekly working time of 40 hours until January 1, 2025. From January 2, 2025, the working hours are reduced to 35 hours per week. The previous working hours remain in the history and are taken into account for past task calculations.
Notes
- Past working hours remain valid for availabilities and task calculations.
- New working hours should be recorded with the actual start date.
