Revision of benefits
Benefit status: under review | benefit confirmed | benefit not confirmed
Bar Chart: benefits revision
Details
The benefit revision takes place after the end of the project and evaluates whether the expected main benefit has actually been achieved. As a rule, there is one person responsible for each benefit who can assess the success (usually the client). The benefit revision plan plans when benefit revisions are to be carried out, which resources are required for a benefit revision, and which actions are to be carried out. The actual benefit of the project only arises after the project, when the final product has been handed over. Depending on the product, this can be shortly after the project or several months later. However, it is also possible that benefits are also achieved during the project. In this case, revisions are scheduled in the benefit revision plan while the project is still running. The results are also recorded in the panel revision plan. The following questions must be clarified during the benefit evaluation:
- Who is responsible for achieving the benefits?
- How and when can the expected benefit and performance of the final product be measured?
- What resources are needed for the implementation?
This is how a benefit revision goes in smenso Cloud
- Create a new folder in the task pane and name this utility revision.
- Add the benefits as a task.
- As title you choose the name of the benefit
- Selection of the resource responsible for the benefit revision
- Designation/description of the benefit, description as detailed as possible of what the benefit is measured against
- Select the label utility revision
- Select the flavors benefit status, by selecting Status you can choose whether the benefit is in review, confirmed or not confirmed.
- Alternatively, the Flavor Workflow: Release can be used so that the same flavor is used for each release in the system
- Enter the required actions as subtasks to a benefit, which are relevant to determine the benefit
- Each subtask can be described in more detail if required
- Add a responsible resource to each subtask as needed
List view
In addition to the board view, the tasks of a project can be viewed in a list view and tasks can be edited directly in it. This way, several benefits can be managed even more clearly. It is important to display or filter the "utility revision" flavors.
Benefit Revision Widget
The "Task Distribution" chart can be reconfigured for a clear presentation of benefits by status.
This type of visualisation has the advantage of being able to display the benefits recorded according to their status. To configure the chart, select Configure Chart in the three-point menu. Then enter the title of the widget and select the flavor Usage Status or Workflow Release in the X-axis.

Cross-project benefit revision
In smenso Cloud it is possible to display the benefits across projects. The project portfolio projects under the tab Tasks can be filtered by the label benefit revision. The benefits/tasks can also be sorted and grouped across projects.
