Description
In project management, it is possible to define which tabs are visible within a project, in what order they appear, and which tab is loaded first when opening the project. These customizations allow for an optimized and more efficient use of the project view.
Manage Tabs
The tab management allows for the following adjustments:
- Show or hide tabs: Define which tabs are visible. Unnecessary tabs can be deactivated.
- Set the start view: Choose which tab is automatically opened when accessing the project.
- Change the order of tabs: Drag and drop tabs to the desired position to adjust their order.
Open Project Management
To manage the Tabs
settings, follow these steps:
- Open the desired project.
- Click on the three-dot menu (
...
) in the top right corner. - Select
Manage Tabs
.
Set a Start View for a Project
Within tab management, you can define which tab is automatically opened when a user enters the project.
- Open the
Tab Management
as described above. - Click the
Start View
button next to the desired tab in the list. - Click
Save
to apply the changes.
Reorder Tabs
The order of the tabs can be customized. Frequently used tabs can be moved to a more prominent position.
- Open the
Tab Management
as described above. - Click on the icon next to the respective tab and drag it to the desired position.
- Click
Save
to apply the new order.
Show or Hide Tabs
Tabs that are not needed for a project can be deactivated. This keeps the project view cleaner and focused on essential functions.
Steps:
- Open the
Tab Management
. - Use the toggles next to the tabs to show or hide them.
- Click
Save
to apply the changes.
Example
If the Board
is set as the start view, the Board view will automatically open the next time the project is accessed. If the order should also be changed, the Board tab can, for example, be moved to the first position.
Benefits of Tab Management
- Optimized User Interface: Only relevant tabs are visible, making navigation easier.
- Customization: Tabs can be individually arranged to optimize workflow.
- Focus on Important Content: Unnecessary tabs can be hidden, helping teams concentrate on relevant sections.
Notes
- The
Start View
setting is project-specific and can be set individually for each project. - Tabs that are not relevant to the project can be deactivated. They will no longer be visible or accessible. However, the
List Tab
and the selectedStart View
are always required and cannot be deactivated. - Changing the tab order does not affect the
Start View
. - The new tab order and start view apply to all users of the project.
Conclusion
With tab management, the project view can be specifically customized. By defining the start view, showing or hiding tabs, and changing their order, each project can be optimally adjusted to individual needs.
